Objectives for the Week of Novemeber 1

Reading:  The fourth graders will focus on the author’s purpose. We will analyze different text and determine the purpose for writing.

Science: Our students will continue our unit on different forms of energy.  This week our focal point of instruction will be electricity.  

Social Studies:  We will continue our investigation of the establishment of the Spanish missions in Texas.  We will create a brochure showcasing each settlement.

Writing: In writing, students will focus on leads and hooking their readers. They will begin writing an adventure paper about an adventure they have had using writing techniques and strategies.

Math: This week in math the students will begin division. We will be using rounding and compatible numbers to learn division.
